Beynon Sports and Renner Sports have partnered to build a new athletic facility for Buhler USD #313 that will rival some of the nation’s most prolific high school sports complexes. Construction is currently underway at Buhler High School and Prairie Hills Middle School to construct a new eight-lane track with a Renner post-tensioned concrete subbase, a six-lane track and fourteen (14) new tennis courts.
The eight-lane track will be showcasing Beynon’s IAAF-certified BSS 300 track and field system and will be built on Renner Sports’ proprietary post-tensioned concrete (PTC) track subbase. The PTC subbase provides increased longevity and reduced lifecycle costs for the taxpayers of Buhler, Kansas over the traditional asphalt construction. Additionally, Renner Sports will be constructing (8) eight PTC tennis courts at Buhler High School. Prairie Hills Middle School will benefit from Beynon’s IAAF-certified BSS 100 athletic track system for their (6) six-lane track along with six (6) PTC full tennis courts.
The eight-lane track along with all the tennis courts will showcase the revolutionary post-tension concrete base installed by Renner Sports, a Beynon Sports company. Post-tension concrete provides the best long term value as it offers greater resistance, eliminates cold joints around net and fence posts, lowers maintenance costs and provides a better uniformity of play.
“Without SmartBuy, Beynon & Renner, I don’t think we would be at the construction stage right now. The quick reaction to changes and requests has made this all possible. They showcased their expertise and professionalism throughout the entire process.” Said Mike Berblinger, Superintendent, Buhler USD #313 “It was easy to see that Beynon & Renner Sports truly set themselves apart from the competition and we are excited to receive a top grade product.”
The entire project, estimated at 1.8 million was purchased through the SmartBuy purchasing program and Greenbush.
Beynon Sports is currently the surface of choice of the University of Kansas Rock Chalk Park and Anschutz Pavilion, Kansas State University, Oklahoma State University, Missouri State University and over 2,000 Collegiate, High School, and Community sports facilities.
